Being a highly-subjective poet, his work depicts his inner personality. His pessimism is not destructive, although his melancholy lingers on throughout his poetry. But it bestows his poetry with serene beauty, depth and versatility. Tragedy is inevitable and it lies within the human heart. The light and the darkness, tears and joys, hope and desperation go parallel. But he finds the world dark and gloomy, and that affects his thoughts too much with overwhelming sadness.
